Do Eyelash Extensions hurt?
Eyelash Extensions don’t hurt when applied properly by a certified professional who uses high-quality products. I really aim for the procedure to be the most relaxing experience possible, a time to unplug, close your eyes, and rest on the extremely comfy memory foam lash bed while listening to easy-going music. You might be surprised to hear, but I’ve even had many, many clients fall asleep while getting their lashes done!
What is your Cancellation policy?
Flutter Lashes requires a minimum of 24 hour’s notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Any cancellations given under 24 hours will be considered a no show and will be charged 50% of the scheduled appointment. While we understand things happen, unfortunately last minute cancellations means we are unable to fill the space that someone else may want. Thank you for understanding!
Will Eyelash Extensions cause damage or make my natural lashes fall out?
As a certified lash tech, the health of your natural lashes is always my #1 priority. After assessing your natural lashes, I choose the right thickness and weight of lashes that are best suited for you. Eyelash extensions won’t make your natural eyelashes fall out. Keep in mind that your natural eyelashes have a life cycle of growing and shedding like the hair found on the rest of your body. This cycle is typically 6-8 weeks depending person to person. It’s difficult to see little eyelashes falling out, however, when connected to a thicker, longer lash they are considerably more perceptible. If you notice that the hair on your head grows quickly, you may be one of the clients who needs to come in a little sooner than others since your lashes are generally the same as that growth cycle.
I have a vacation coming up, can I get another Lash Lift before the 6-8 week mark?
Unfortunately not! Since the solution is still on your natural lashes, even if half have shed, can cause damage to your natural lashes from perming those same lashes twice. It’s always important to come in once all the natural lashes from that cycle has shed and there are no curly, lifted, lashes left.
I’m nervous to get an Eyebrow Lamination, in case I don’t think I can pull off the style.
This is a new concern as Eyebrow Lamination is a very new trend! I totally understand that this style is different to what you’re used to, as you won’t see these results with any old brow gel, but I have yet to meet a client who didn’t text me after and say they love their new brows! The look of Eyebrow Lamination is suited for those who want a more natural looking, fluffy and thick(er) brow. The results will last 6-8 weeks, but that being said, the hairs aren’t stuck in that exact position, you can very easily brush them back into a sideways position as you used to, and the hairs will still look better than before as they are now straightened out and will work with whichever way you want to brush them.
I’ve never had Eyelash Extensions. What if I’m allergic?
Allergies to extensions are rare, but I have certainly seen a fair share. If you are someone who has sensitivities and you’re nervous to try extensions out, I have an option to book in for a complimentary “lash trial” where I’ll have you in for a quick 15 minutes, and apply a few lashes to each eye and send you on your way. Applying just a few will show us just a small fraction of what might happen if you were to continue on with lash extensions. No irritations? Great! Then we can book in for a full set of lashes for a future date. If you were to get an allergy- see below question, “I’m allergic to my Lash Extensions- what do I do?”
I’m allergic to my Lash Extensions, what do I do now?
First things first, text me at 250-589-9371 along with photos of the irritation so I can pinpoint what product you might be allergic to. The initial 2-24 hours is typically when an allergy will be at its worse, and after that 24 hours will usually go away. Some clients who show minimal signs choose to take a Benadryl and keep that set of lashes on. Where others, whose eyes have started to swell up, are recommended to come see me for a removal. Each case is different, so it’s best to let me know and I can help decide what you should do. Luckily since I work from home, I can fit you in for a complimentary removal at the soonest available time.
Am I too old for Eyelash Extensions?
Absolutely not!! You may have seen a set of crazy long, black as night, lashes on someone and thought, “I can not pull that off!” but I am so happy to say I have a full range ages of clients from 15-80+ and every set is completely customizable with what look you want to go for. The amazing thing about Eyelash Extensions is every set is unique from different styles of application to your personal eye shape and fullness of your natural lashes. That being said, even the most natural set of eyelash extensions will accentuate your eyes and make them even more beautiful!!! I have never met a client (old or young) who didn’t LOVE eyelash extensions.
Why can't I get a Lash Lift or Brow Lamination while pregnant?
I wouldn't advise any client to have a lash lift or brow lamination treatment during pregnancy. Your body does not react in the same way it would normally, due to the change of hormone levels, and the perming solution can result in not working all together or only working for a short period of time. It's best to wait until your levels have balanced to come in for your lash lift or brow lamination for lasting results.
